F51 steel forged flanges are an excellent choice for a wide variety of applications. The material's high tensile and material strength provides exceptional resistance to corrosion and acidic environments. They are also extremely strong and have an excellent temperature resistance. Regardless of their intended use, Duplex steel forged flanges will perform well. Here's what you need to know about these flanges.

ASTM A182 F51 flanges are made from a duplex steel material with an austenitic and ferritic microstructure. This type of steel is highly resistant to general corrosion and has a high strength-to-weight ratio.

Its duplex steel composition allows it to achieve a 620 MPa tensile strength and a 450 MPa minimum yield strength. Navstar Steel is a leading supplier and manufacturer of duplex stainless steel blind flanges. Its diverse line of products includes:

Duplex Steel F55 flanges are used in the Oil and Gas Industry for a variety of applications. They offer excellent resistance to chloride and sulfide stress corrosion. Duplex 2205 - also known as UNS S32205 - is chromium-nickel-molybdenum-nitrogen stainless steel with improved corrosion resistance. And it is also a great choice for high-temperature applications.

Duplex Steel F51 WNRF flanges are also available. These flanges are available as threaded, reducing, and welded necks. SORF flanges are also available for Duplex steel F51 WNRF and SORF. Duplex Steel F51 WNRF flanges are manufactured in India and are used to join two different types of pipes.

Duplex stainless steel forged flanges are made from an alloy that contains high levels of chromium, nickel, and molybdenum. It also contains nitrogen, which improves its weldability and corrosion resistance. These flanges have excellent strength, impact toughness, and overall stress corrosion resistance, but they are not recommended for high-temperature applications.

The tensile strength and toughness of duplex stainless steel forged flanges make them a great choice for some applications.

Duplex 2205 is an extremely common grade of stainless steel. It has excellent general corrosion resistance, which is superior to that of Grade 316.

It also exhibits superior localized corrosion resistance. It is also significantly better at resisting seawater and austenitic grades than Grade 316. However, unlike Grade 316, 2205 is prone to embrittlement at high temperatures, which can only be corrected by full solution annealing.
