Stainless Steel B8T Fasteners meet the ASTM A193 grade B8 standard and are suitable for high-pressure, high-temperature and special-purpose applications. The specification specifies typical chemical composition and mechanical properties, preferential heat treatment and product marking requirements. This material is widely used in various industries. Read on to learn more about this material.

ASTM A193 B8T Fasteners offer increased overall corrosion resistance, superior resistance to crevice and pitting corrosion, and excellent strength in a wide temperature range. These fasteners are most often used in oil and gas exploration and processing equipment. They are available in various grades.

ASTM A193 Grade B8C Fasteners are corrosion-resistant 321 stainless steel. These fasteners meet ASTM A193 grade B8T specifications for hardness and mechanical properties. They are ideal for high-temperature environments. However, conventional alloys have high tensile strength but are susceptible to intergranular corrosion at high temperatures.

The formation of chromium carbide in the material can cause serious damage. ASTM A193 Grade B8T Foundation Bolts display excellent mechanical properties even when exposed to extreme temperatures.

Because the ASTM A193 Grade B8T Threaded Stud does not undergo heat treatment, it retains its strength. SS ASTM A193 Grade B8T Structural Bolts are used for applications such as nonmetal flanges. The Grade B8T Fasteners are suitable for cryogenic applications.

Stainless Steel ASTM A193 Grade B8T Bolts have excellent mechanical properties and superior corrosion resistance. The ASTM A193 Grade B8T Plain Washer, Hex Head Screw, and Threaded Stud are all well-suited for use in extreme temperatures. The latter two are ideal for applications involving high temperatures and high pressure. This material also displays high creep and rupture properties and can be cold-worked to reduce the likelihood of cracking.
