The SS 317L - stainless steel forged and threaded flanges are ideal for severe service conditions such as flue gas desulfurization systems and high-pressure steam lines. The design provides easy access for inspection, maintenance, and cleaning. The flanges are typically screwed or welded together. Flanged joints are made by bolting two flanges together with a gasket between them.

Stainless Steel 317L flanges can be fabricated to meet a variety of industry standards. Forged stainless steel flanges meet ASTM A182 standards and can be purchased from suppliers who specialize in specialized flange manufacturing. The range of sizes and materials allows for a wide range of applications.

They are available for immediate shipment from stock. ASTM A182 317L flanges are widely used in a variety of industries, including the food and beverage industry.

Stainless Steel 321H flanges are made of low-carbon austenitic stainless steel. The addition of nickel, chromium, and molybdenum to this alloy results in better corrosion resistance. These flanges are also used in applications where annealing is not possible.

Additionally, 317L flanges are less susceptible to abrasion and have higher creep resistance than 316 materials. They are also non-magnetic when in their annealed condition. They are highly suited for welding.

Type 317L - stainless steel forged and threaded flanges can be fabricated from three different types of stainless steel. Unlike conventional alloys, they do not corrode when exposed to acidic environments, abrasive substances will not cause damage. When installed in proper environments, a 317L flange will endure high pressure and temperature, and will not fail prematurely.

The austenitic alloy SS 317L offers excellent corrosion resistance in a variety of chemicals. Its molybdenum content makes it resistant to chloride pitting and general corrosion. This stainless steel alloy is also good for pulp and paper industry applications. Because it is nonmagnetic in its annealed condition, it is easy to weld and process using standard fabrication methods.

Stainless Steel 317L Forged Flanges are available in various sizes. ASME B16.5 SS 317L Socket Weld Flange is another popular type. Its size varies from half an inch to 48 inches. These flanges are generally available in either raised or flat face types. They can be screwed on or welded to pipes. They are also available as ASTM A182 F 317L Threaded Flanges and SS Werkstoff No 1.4438 Socket Weld Flanges.

Although alloy 317L is easily worked, it is not recommended for use in applications requiring high temperatures. The hot-worked material should be solution-annealed before hardening. Cold work is also recommended to increase hardness and strength. A combination of annealing and cold work is the best choice for welding 317L - stainless steel forged flanges.

When comparing different types of SS316L and 317L forged flanges, you can find a product that matches your specifications. Stainless steel 316L is widely used in a wide range of applications. For example, 317L has a lower carbon content than 316L. The low carbon content makes it easy to weld without sensitization, so it is an excellent choice for some applications.
