Real Engineering spools are lengths of stainless steel tubing prefabricated with Tri-Clamp (r) fittings at both ends. These spools are used with wing nut-style clamps to connect to different types of tubes. GVC Direct stocks standard stainless steel spools in sizes from six to 101 inches in fractional diameters. 

Standard sizes are three through 241 inches in 1/8-inch increments. For special requirements, specify your length in inches. Remember, spools over 60 inches are considered oversize and will require freight delivery.

Alloy 316H has a higher carbon content than 304 and is better suited for high-temperature applications. While 316Ti offers similar properties, the higher carbon content of 316H provides greater tensile strength and yield strength. 

Unlike 317L, 316H has superior corrosion resistance to nitric acid and chlorides. This steel can perform well in sulfur-containing service. Moreover, it is nonmagnetic in its annealed condition, which allows for easy processing. It is also suitable for high-temperature applications. 316L stainless steel wire is available on 300mm spools with a 15 kg capacity. This wire is ideal for welds in food-grade 316 material and is also good for hot-cracking. It is also ideal for welding 304 and 316Ti stainless steel. In addition to these benefits, 316L stainless steel wire is versatile enough for a variety of projects.

Stainless Steel S 316H spools are an excellent choice for use in semiconductor and pharmaceutical process piping. It has a grain size requirement of ASTM no. 7 or higher.
